James Earl Jones - Admiral

James Earl Jones began his magnificent acting career on the New York stage starring in Shakespeare’s Othello, The Emperor Jones and, most famously, in The Great White Hope, for which he won the 1969 Tony award. He started in the movies in the mid-1960s, and won an Oscar for repeating his role as prizefighter Jack Jefferson in the 1970 film version of The Great White Hope. Perhaps best known as the voice of Darth Vader in Star Wars film series, his other movie roles include Field of Dreams with Kevin Costner, The Hunt for Red October with Alec Baldwin, and Patriot Games and Clear and Present Danger with Harrison Ford. An Emmy-winner, and nominee or winner of over two dozen major entertainment awards, Jones received the 2009 Screen Actor’s Guild award for Lifetime Achievement.
